Richard P. Vukovic 1955-2025

FARMDALE — Richard Peter Vukovic, 70, of Gardner Barclay Road, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic, following a hard-fought battle after a fall, surrounded and supported by his wife and children.

Rick was a 1973 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and spent his career at Michigan Hangar / ERICO, where he retired in the role of production supervisor.

Born to the late Peter and Martha Phillips Vukovic on Jan. 17, 1955, in Youngstown, Rick is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lydia Oris Vukovic, and his sons, Richard, Adam, Matthew (Emily) and Corey (Danielle). He also is survived by his siblings, Tom Vukovic, Chris Thompson and Ginny Fairhurst.

His grandchildren, Nolan, Alexandria and Harper, were his world, and he loved watching their sporting events, seeing them play together and sneaking them cookies. He is leaving behind many additional loving and supportive family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Even in death, Rick has chosen to support the education of medical learners, donating his body to the Cleveland Clinic Body Donation Program.

A memorial service in his honor will be Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in McDonald. Calling hours will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass at 11 a.m.

As Rick loved life and worked avidly to build his strength to be present for his family, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Mercy Health Foundation of Mahoning Valley’s Rehabilitation Services Cause, so that we can help return people to the activities they love in his honor.
