LOOP Youngstown is accepting applications for its new Emerging Artist Fellowship program.

This fellowship is designed to support artists and writers in the early stage of their creative career, typically within their first 10 years of practicing seriously. Applicants may not yet have a large body of work, but they are finding their artistic voice and starting to build experience through exhibitions, performances, publications, grants or awards.

The fellowship period spans June 1 to April 30, 2027. Selected artists will receive a free studio in LOOP Youngstown’s new art space at 805 Mahoning Ave. during the fellowship period, along with a monthly stipend for supplies.

Throughout the fellowship, artists will work with LOOP staff to develop opportunities for public engagement. Fellows also will participate in professional development and networking activities designed to build skills needed for a career in the arts.
