Helen Colaluca 1931-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Helen Colaluca, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Helen was born Dec. 13, 1931, in Youngstown. She was the daughter of Andrew and Catherine Bakos Harvischak.
She was a 1950 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
Helen was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church in Campbell, where she was a member of the “O” Club, The Sisterhood and The Altar Society.
Helen’s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen will be deeply missed and always remembered by her four sons: Daniel (Carol) Colaluca and Jim (JoAnn) Colaluca, both of Youngstown, David Colaluca of Campbell and Paul (Kim) Colaluca of Austintown. She also leaves her grandchildren, Anthony (Colleen), Chris (Andrea), Mark (Terri), Joseph (Danielle) and Michael (Brittney) Colaluca; and her seven great-grandchildren, Belle, Matthew, Noah, Madeline, Wyatt, Dominic and Emma. Helen also leaves her sister, Pauline Fesz of Campbell, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Anna Harvischak, Katherine Harvischak, and Mary Murko; her brother, Tom Harvischak; and her great-granddaughter, Riley Colaluca.
The Colaluca family has entrusted Helen’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
Calling hours will be 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesday July 2, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the church, with Father Andrew Bartek officiating.
Helen will be laid to rest in St. John Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Campbell.
