Sandra Rose Holiday 1942-2025

Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Jim Holiday, Sandra was the loving mother of Matthew (Monica), Gregory (Marie) and Kevin. She was the cherished grandmother of Trinity, Justice, James, Benjamin, Emma Grace, Adaline, Andrew, Chelsea (Cody) and Eli. She will also be missed by her loving brother, Anthony Vonovick (Ann) and niece, Melanie.

Sandy was born in Youngstown, to Anthony and Rose Vonjovick, and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1960. Jim and Sandy were married in 1964 and moved to South Rockwood in 1969.

Sandy found her greatest joy in the company of her children and grandchildren. She cooked with love and was always eager to share her delicious treats, including her famous Christmas nut roll, with her family and wonderful neighbors.

A constant presence in the lives of her loved ones, Sandra generously volunteered at her children’s and grandchildren’s schools, and was their biggest fan on the sidelines of countless sporting events. She also loved to cheer on the Tigers and the Pistons.

A woman of deep faith, Sandra taught preschool Sunday school for 36 years, shaping the lives and hearts of many young people in her church community.
