Nancy J. Ondash 1934-2025
OLDSMAR, Fla. — Nancy Jeanette Hassay Ondash passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, peacefully with her family beside her. She was the wife of John Michael Ondash, with whom she shared 69 joyful years together.
Born in Youngstown, she was the daughter of John and Marion Hassay.
She was a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in education. She was then a teacher for Campbell City Schools. She was an avid reader, often found reading more than six books at a time.
Nancy will be remembered for her dedication to her family and especially her grandchildren.
Nancy leaves behind her husband, John; and their five children, Karin Ondash Smith, John Ondash, Mark Ondash, Robert Ondash and Lori Ondash Carney. Nancy’s lineage is left along with her children, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and those dearest to her heart.
