Nancy E. Walega 1950-2025
YOUNGSTOWN — Nancy E. Walega, 74, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Nancy was born Dec. 30, 1950, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Dorothy Angiloff Pichitino.
She was a 1969 graduate of Struthers High School.
Nancy was employed by Armour Foods and Tamarkin Co. before dedicating 24 years as an administrative assistant at the Mahoning County Engineers Office under Bill Fergus and Richard Marsico until her retirement. She was past president of County Commissioners Clerk and Engineers Secretaries Association of Ohio, as well as a member of the Boardman-Poland Women’s League.
Nancy had a passion for cooking, baking and entertaining. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, casinos and spending time with friends.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd, whom she married Sept. 3, 1977; a brother, John (Dixie) Pichitino of Poland; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Pichitino, and her favorite cat, Annie Belle.
Per her request, no calling hours will be held. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
