Margaret Sharbon 1937-2025

WARREN — Margaret “Marge” Sharbon, 87, passed away Sunday morning, June 15, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

Marge was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Niles, a daughter of John and Helen Phillips Koncsol.

Marge was a 1955 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She later furthered her education and earned an associate degree in business from Trumbull Business College.

In addition to being a proud homemaker, Marge began work at Packard Electric and then for McQuaids, where she became the manager at the Champion branch. After becoming a grandmother, Marge retired to become a full-time nanny, the job she cherished most.

Marge enjoyed reading, working on crossword puzzles and getting together with her granddaughters for “puzzle and coffee night.” She was an excellent cook and baker, especially around the holidays and when hosting her family. Marge was great at trivia, always impressing her friends and family with how sharp she was. She also enjoyed wine tasting and pairing good wine with good food. Most of all, Marge cherished the little moments with her family. She was proud of her children and grandchildren, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marge will always be remembered by her children, Susan (Rick) Harr of Warren, with whom she made her home, Sandra (Allan) Crain of Niles and John Sharbon Jr. of Warren; grandchildren, Michelle (John) Konopka, Aimee Harr, Sarah Boozell, Deanna (Alex) Schuck, Jennifer (Derrick) Starr and Christopher Crain; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Orion; sister, Mary O’Brien; brothers, William and Michael Koncsol; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, John Sharbon Sr., who passed in 1985; son, John Charles Sharbon; and siblings, Elizabeth “Betty” Fortune, Andrew Koncsol, John Koncsol, Steven Koncsol, Joseph Koncsol, Helen Tarr and Thomas Koncsol.
