Linda L. Konya 1943-2025
SEVEN HILLS — Linda L. Konya, 82, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at UH Parma, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Easter Sunday, April 25, 1943, in Fort Gay, W.Va., the daughter of Woodrow Crabtree and Mary Jackson Troicky.
A skilled cosmetologist, Linda devoted many years to her career, successfully owning a salon where she touched the lives of many with her talent and care.
Linda’s passion extended beyond her professional life; she was also an exceptional cook, often preparing meals for family and even for her beloved granddogs. Her culinary skills brought joy to those fortunate enough to share a meal with her, creating lasting memories built around the table.
In her younger years, Linda found great joy in swing dancing, a hobby that brought her laughter and lasting memories.
Linda is survived by her children, Janice (Lee) Gross of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Alex (Maria) Konya of Memphis, Tennessee; grandson, Steven Gross of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Barb Crabtree of Bulverde, Texas; her longtime companion, Josef Kren; and several granddogs who were dear to her heart.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Konya; and her sisters, Roberta Crabtree and Brenda Sue Crabtree.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, at St. John Cemetery, 3900 Villa Maria Road, Lowellville, OH 44436.
