COITSVILLE — Felix Michael George Ciszewski III, also known as Spike, 73, went to be with our Lord and Savior with his family by his side, Monday, May 12, 2025, following a lengthy illness.

Felix Michael was born May 14, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of the late Felix John Ciszewski Jr. and Mildred Malva Milisch Ciszewski. He graduated from Struthers High School in 1969.

He joined the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War from June 1969 to March 1971. Felix Michael was an airman first class, and buck sergeant and machinist, Troop No. 314 F.M.S. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran and proudly served and loved his country.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Struthers.

Spike loved to hunt, fish and ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, along with rebuilding cars. He also raced his dragster in his earlier years.

He was a jack of all trades. He was fascinated with all kinds of guns since the age of 10. His greatest love was woodworking and building things from scratch, and he even built our log home.

He went to the school of Sam Naples Master Chun Karate. Spike was in karate for 15 years and was a karate instructor, achieving a fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Ji Do Kwan.

He traveled all over the world and especially loved going to the casinos, where he always had very good luck. He was a very generous person and loved helping those in need, who never knew where it came from.

He loved wolves and especially Siberian huskies, which he had several of.

He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, the former Gloria Jean Shotts, whom he dated for five years before they were married on Oct. 2, 1976. He was a loving husband and will be sadly missed.

He is also survived by one sister, Malva Lynn (Clyde) Hughes of Coitsville; his three nieces, Tammy (Pete) Sedor of New Jersey, Cherie (Michael) Leonard of Struthers and Loretta (Steve) Henry of West Virginia; and several cousins.
