Susan R. Anderson 1956-2025
AUSTINTOWN — Mrs. Susan R Anderson, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, April 6, 2025, at her residence with her husband by her side, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Panama City Beach, Florida, a daughter of Sonny D. and Mildred A. Maynor Gould.
Susan lived for a time in Maine and was a student of Mount Abram High School in Salem Township, Maine. She spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.
She married Henry J. Anderson on May 12, 1984. Together they shared 40 years of marriage and many happy memories. He survives her.
Susan was a collector of various items, including cards, comics, unicorns and Betty Boop memorabilia. She enjoyed music, dancing and sci-fi movies. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved.
Besides her husband, Susan is survived by three sons, James E. Bourgoin Jr. (Stephanie) of Struthers, Timothy L Bourgoin of Austintown and Christopher A. Bourgoin of South Paris, Maine. She also leaves behind a brother, Sonny (Debra) Gould, of Buckhannon, W.Va.; four sisters, Dawn Easterling (Drew) of Tampa, Florida, Sherry (Martin) Powell of Struthers, Mary Chalfant, of Youngstown and Pam Patterson (Dave), of Newton Falls; eight grandchildren, Johnnathan (Sabrina), Alexandra (Anthony), Daylin, Dayjawn (Anajzha), Jason (Jessica), Dayvahn (Destinee), Isabella and Daytreon; six great-grandchildren, Beckett, Jet, Riley, Kaydin, Jaxsyn and Saylor; her stepmother, Sharon Gould, of Hubbard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James E Bourgoin Sr.; her parents; and four brothers, John and George Gould, and Andy and Rick Easterling.
A time of gathering for family and friends will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave.
