Jennette L. Van Pelt 1947-2025

Jennette was born Feb. 6, 1947, in Salem, a daughter of Mark L. and Ruth O. Downie Van Pelt. A 1966 Greenford High School graduate, she was self-employed, doing domestic work and catering.

She was a lifetime member of Columbiana First United Methodist Church, where she was a choir member.

She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to many bridge clubs.

Jennette will be greatly missed by her brother, William “Eric” Van Pelt, and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Columbiana First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., Columbiana, with Pastor Cyndi Midlick officiating. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. in the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel.

The family respectfully requests no floral tributes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Jennette’s memory to Columbiana First United Methodist Church.
