Thomas W. Parry Jr. 1939-2025

Thomas was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Austintown, a son of the late Thomas W. Parry and Sophia Seaborn Parry, and was a lifelong Austintown resident.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army and dedicated over five decades of hard work as a truck driver for Trinity Industries, beginning his career at age 20 and retiring at the remarkable age of 77. Even after retirement, he continued to keep busy, working maintenance at Duck Creek Golf Course, where he enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the game he loved.

An avid motorcycle rider and golfer, Tom found joy in the open road and the camaraderie of the golf course. However, his greatest passion was the time spent with his family and friends, creating lasting memories and leaving a legacy of love, laughter and devotion.

Tom leaves behind a large and loving family, including his eight children, Timmy (Linda) Walton of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jerry (Stacy) Walton of Austintown, Kathy Ricketts of Austintown, Thomas W. Parry III of Austintown, Deanna (Rick) Price of Austintown, Bill Walton of Austintown, Lonny (Rebecca) Parry of Boardman and Mark Parry of Austintown. He was a proud grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. He also is survived by his brother, Jack Parry (Kenna) of Girard, along with many extended family members and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Tom was preceded in death by his wives, Jackie McCartney Parry, Beverly Walters Parry and Joan Prickett Parry; his brother, Frank Parry; and his sister, Catherine Vath.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in Green Haven Memorial Gardens, where Tom will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Beverly.

Tom will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, his strength and the love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
