Ronald P. Emery 1957-2024
COLUMBUS — Ronald P. Emery, 67, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024.
Ron was born April 19, 1957, in Youngstown, to Paul and Janice Emery.
He was a graduate of Girard High School, Hiram College, where he received his bachelor’s degree, and Antioch University, where he received his doctorate.
Ron spent his lifelong career working for numerous businesses which took him around the globe to every continent. He began his business consulting firm, Alchemy Associates LLC, where he mentored and helped struggling businesses to become very successful. In his words, “We turn lead into gold.”
Ron also taught at various universities and online schools throughout his adult life and mentored countless individuals who remained dear friends throughout his life. He was a published author, having written four books, and was always working on the next one in his head.
Ron was an avid fan of all Detroit teams, especially his beloved Tigers. He loved lunching with friends. He loved racquetball; he introduced the game of racquetball to many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice O’Connor Emery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lucrezia “Lu” Bruno Emery; children, Ryan (Michelle) Emery; daughter, Carly (David Harutian) Emery; granddaughter, Carolyn Emery; father, Paul Emery; brothers, Gerald (Katie) Emery, Daniel (Tina) Emery and Randy Emery; sister, Loraine (Mark) Spencer; brother-in-law, Joseph (Heather) Bruno; and numerous nieces and nephews, who all deeply loved their “Uncle Ron.”
A celebration of life for Ron will begin 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at the Joseph Rossi & Sons Funeral Home, 457 Robbins Ave., Niles, OH 44446; the family encourages guests to begin arriving at 10 a.m., prior to the celebration of life.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
