Police in Youngstown and Boardsman were kept busy over the weekend with crashes that sent several people to the hospital.

Youngstown police were called Sunday just before 3 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Market Street and Myrtle Avenue. Both vehicles received extensive damage and multiple people were involved in the accident. Debris littered the road after the crash, the report states.

Multiple people were taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries was not known.

A crash also was reported at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Market Street and Meadowbrook Avenue in Boardman after a vehicle crashed and flipped onto its roof.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesman said no further information was available Sunday because Boardman police were handling the crash.
