Robert Bernard 1955-2024
CANFIELD — Robert Bernard, 68, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024.
He was born Sept. 12, 1955, in Youngstown, the son of Frank Sr. and Alice Smith Bernard, and was a lifelong resident of Canfield.
Bob was a self-employed master carpenter and builder who owned and operated Robert Bernard Builders.
Bob enjoyed working at his craft. He was very meticulous and proud of everything he owned and built. When he wasn’t working, he looked forward to sharing a cold beer with his friends at various local watering holes. He also loved traveling, spending time in Florida and golfing with his friends.
Bob will always be remembered fondly by his three siblings, Barbara (Dave) Eck of Austintown, Sandra Bernard of Mineral Ridge and Sam (Jennifer) Bernard of Canfield; four nephews, David (Heather) Eck, Jeffrey (Brittany) Eck, Kevin (Tania) Felger and John Felger; and four great-nieces and -nephews, Brantley, Jaxon, Alaina and Merrick.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Frank “Poncho” Bernard Jr.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, at Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman. Words of remembrance will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, at the funeral home.
