Peter F. Pizzulo Jr. 1938-2024
Together again
McDONALD — Peter F. Pizzulo Jr., 86, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, at Liberty Health Care Center, with his family by his side.
Peter was born July 2, 1938, in Youngstown, the son of Peter Sr. and Lois Fausnaught Pizzulo.
Peter retired in 1993 from RMI in Niles as an inspector after 33 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Korean War Veterans and Knights of Columbus in McDonald. He was very active with Alcoholics Anonymous and recently received his coin for 34 years of sobriety.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Peter J. Pizzulo, and wife, Kerry Renee of Bazetta; grandchildren, Alexis (Marty), Gianna, Chase and Christina; and great-grandchildren, Macie and Charlie.
Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Anne Bobovnyk, whom he married Aug. 12, 1961, and who died Aug. 17, 2011; sisters, Dorothy Pratt and Pauline Hentschel; and brother, James Pizzulo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald, with military honors to follow. The family will receive relatives and friends 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Peter will be laid to rest in All Souls Cemetery next to his wife.
