Sandra Fish 1952-2024
TUCSON, Ariz. — Sandra Fish, 72, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Sherman Home Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale. She was a brave and courageous warrior as she battled her difficult health challenges.
Sandra was born Feb. 19, 1952, in Youngstown to Edith and Louis Fish.
She graduated from Liberty High School in 1970 and went on to attend Ohio University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. Sandra worked in the hospitality and health care industry, beginning with hotel management.
She spent the majority of her career as general manager for Cascades of Tucson, a senior lifestyle community. She was devoted to the residents and staff whom she loved and who loved her.
Among Sandra’s hobbies, she enjoyed being an equestrian, loving her horses, Flicka and Little Mickey. She also was an avid reader and loved sharing her books with others. She was a music lover and had a keen eye for art. Her smile would light up a room. She loved her family and was a loyal and trusted friend. She will be missed by many.
Sandra is survived by her brother, Steven Fish of Youngstown, and sister, Diane DiPiero (Donald), also of Youngstown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Edith Fish, and a baby sister, Patricia.
A private family graveside service and burial took place June 26, 2024, at Mount Sinai Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The family suggests that donations be made in Sandra’s memory to Hospice of the Valley, 8461 E. McDonald Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85250, www.hov.org. Their exemplary care helped to make her difficult journey filled with love and compassion.
