Walter Blews 1947-2024

He was born Oct. 19, 1947, in New Castle, Pa., a son to the late Walter and Mary Gross Blews.

Walter proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War and later dedicated 30 years of his life to Mahoning Valley Fabrication before retiring in 2012.

In his free time, Walter enjoyed various hobbies such as browsing eBay, collecting recorders and tools, fixing small engines, welding and listening to country music.

Walter will be deeply missed by his surviving family members: his sons, Jeff (Aubrey) Blews of Girard and Scott (Monica) Blews of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughter Amy (Tony) Fiore of Wisconsin; brother, Larry (Nancy) Blews; fiance, Jeanne Tancos; and grandchildren, Aaron, Ben, Bryan, Aden and Mia.

Along with his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Teleis Blews; and brother, Ronnie Blews.

The family will receive relatives and friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the funeral home, with calling hours one hour before the service.

Walter will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery.
