Ronald D. Round 1935-2024

Ronald was born March 30, 1935, in Youngstown, the son of the late Leonard Earle and Catherine Welker Round.

A 1953 graduate of Boardman High School, Ronald was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and worked for many years as a union baker for Giant Eagle. A car enthusiast, Ronald was always eager to go to classic car shows. You could often find him tending to his beautifully landscaped yard and planting an array of flowers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, whom he married Feb. 15, 1958; two sons, Scott (Judi) Round and Terry (Colleen) Round; granddaughter, Amber (Dave) Desantis; great-grandchildren, Santino and Angelina Desantis; and his many cousins who were like siblings to him.

Calling hours will be held 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to express a huge thank you to the staff at Greenbriar, as well as the nurses from Southern Care Hospice, for their wonderful care of Ronald during this time.
