Virginia L. Kostecki 1930-2024

Virginia was born May 27, 1930, in Hartford, a daughter of Dora Louise James.

She worked as a waitress at Avalon and at Trumbull Country Club for many years, retiring in 2019.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Her husband, Andrew H. Kostecki, whom she married Dec. 19, 1950, passed away Oct. 3, 2003.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her daughter, Charlotte Kostecki of Hubbard; daughter-in-law, Julie Kostecki of Hubbard; and three grandchildren, Ralph Guglielm III (Lynnsey), Andrew J. Rockwell and Aaron Kostecki (Hillary); and a niece, Georgene Stepanic of California.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Andrew P. Kostecki.

There will be services held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, with calling hours prior to the service, 4 to 6 p.m., at Stewart Kyle Funeral Home.

Virginia will be laid to rest in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
