Recycling collection set Monday at Tribune

WARREN — The Tribune Chronicle will host its annual Earth Day recycling collection 8 a.m. to noon Monday.

Residential shredding by Protect N’ Shred will be offered 9 a.m. to noon with a limit of four containers. Both will take place in the newspaper parking lot at the corner of Vine and South Street near downtown.

Items that can be brought for recycling are newspapers, junk mail, envelopes, magazines, office paper and paper bags. Large items such as encyclopedias, hardbound books, paperback books, telephone books and thick manuals also will be accepted.

Newspaper staff will be available to help unload items. For every pound of recyclable paper dropped off, a donation will be made to the Tribune Chronicle’s Newspaper in Education literacy program.
