Loretta Stock 1935-2024

BOARDMAN — Loretta Stock, 88, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Hospice House.

Loretta was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Dillonvale, the daughter of Nick and Clara Sebastian Lenno. Loretta graduated from Dillonvale High School in 1953 and moved to the Youngstown area shortly thereafter. She married her husband, Robert “Bob” Stock on Aug. 21, 1954. They had two sons, Robert and Martin Stock.

Loretta was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also worked as secretary and bookkeeper for the family business, Stock Window Cleaning Service.

Loretta was a former member of St. Patrick Church in Youngstown, where she served as parish secretary and as a lector. She was also very involved in Jewish / Christian Dialogue, as well as various Bible study groups.

Besides her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Stock; her son, Robert “Rob” Stock; her grandson, Craig Stock; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Irene Lenno; her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Clyde Brant; and her former daughter-in-law, Robin Viets Stock.

Loretta is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Martin and JoAnn Stock of Boardman; and her dear friend, Bonnie Johns of Las Vegas, who maintained close contact with Loretta over the years. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Courtney (Angelo) Villone of Youngstown, as well as a number of extended family members.

A private funeral liturgy and committal service, officiated by the Very Rev. Msgr. Robert Siffrin, was held Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Forest Lawn Chapel. Loretta was laid to rest next to her husband in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
