Karen J. Luteran 1952-2024

She was born Aug. 20, 1952, in Campbell, daughter of Michael “Curtis” and Jennie Magura.

Karen was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. She continued her education at Youngstown State University and Kent State University, where she received her Master of Arts degree. She worked as a German and French teacher for the Girard City Schools and Sharon City Schools.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, gardening, reading true crime stories, long walks, dancing, watching movies and smelling the flowers.

She is survived by her son, Corey Luteran (Danielle); daughters, Megan Conklin (Benjamin) and Sarah Luteran; and six grandchildren, Curtis, Lauren, Maya, Benjamin, Sadie and Violet.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Michael “Curtis” Magura and Jennie Magura.

Visitation will take place 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Kirila Funeral Home, 258 Poland Ave., Struthers, followed by a funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions can be made to ALZ.org or Hospice of the Valley.
