Jeff was born Feb. 10, 1974, in Warren, a son of the late Bruce and Deborah Gilger. He was a 1992 graduate of Howland High School and of the Gorden D. James Career Center, where he learned auto mechanics.

He was employed with General Motors for 10 years.

Shortly after high school, he met the love of his life, Heidi, while riding in his low rider. He was an avid car guy who loved anything with wheels. He would go to any and all races that he could. He was a member of the Howland Road Hounds and Hollywood Knights. He was a loyal friend that would do anything for anyone.

Most of all he was a family man. He was a loving husband, father, full-time Tata, and dog dad. Jeff will be deeply missed by his wife, Heidi Gilger, whom he married April 1, 2003; children, Jeffrey (Sarah) Gilger Jr. and Kamryn (Brayden) Gilger; grandchildren, who he adored, Jeffrey Gilger III and Ava Gilger; half-sister, Michele Beauchene; uncle, Bruce Bunker; and many brothers from another mother.
