Paula Orr-Manigault 1943-2024

HOUSTON — Paula “Jackie” Orr-Manigault, age 80, formerly of Youngstown, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

She was born May 24, 1943, in Youngstown, to Henry Paul Orr Sr. and Pearl Wright McKinley (deceased).

She married Ronald C. Manigault Sr. in 1960, and together, they owned / operated a successful waste disposal business, R.C. Manigault & Son, from 1962 to 1988.

Jackie lived a full life. She loved spending quality time with her family and friends, shopping, shopping, shopping (this is not a typo), traveling and dining out. She was well known for her high-class taste in fashion.

Jackie expressed her dedication to our Lord Jesus as a member of Bethel Church of God in Christ in Youngstown, Pastor Ross Johnson, and First Lady Sheila Johnson, where she was a member for over 60 years.

Jackie Orr-Manigault is survived by three of her four children, Rhonda Kimberly, Sonya Guillory (Donald), and Ronald C. Manigault Jr. (Kendra) of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Manigault.

Jackie had two grandchildren, Todd Stanford Jr. (deceased) and Jasmine R. Jackson (Fred) of Houston, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Te’Vaun, Destiny, and Cameron Stanford, and Riley Jackson of Houston, Texas; and one great-great-grandchild, Amora Stanford of Houston, Texas.

Jackie also leaves her sister, Barbara Orr of Euclid, Jean McKinley of San Diego, and Paulette Orr of Youngstown, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Paul Orr Sr.; mother, Pearl Wright-McKinley; daughter, Tracy Manigault; grandson, Todd Stanford Jr.; brother, Henry Paul Orr Jr.; sister, Deborah-Anne Orr; aunt, Johnnie Pearl Reid; and her grandmother, Nettie Smith, who is the matriarch of our family. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday March 30, 2024, at Bethel Church of God in Christ, 3147 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, OH 44512. Services of love and dignity entrusted to L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
