Gregory V. Endsley 1958-2024

STRUTHERS — Gregory V. Endsley, 65, passed away Wednesday evening, March 13, 2024.

Greg was born June 12, 1958, in Pensacola, Florida, a son of the late Lee and Margaret Eck Endsley.

After his father’s military career, his family settled in Struthers. A graduate of Ursuline High School, Class of 1976, Greg enlisted in the United States Navy.

Greg returned to Struthers and attended Youngstown State University. Greg believed in a good strong work ethic that included punctuality, integrity, discipline and teamwork. He began his long career in the beverage distribution industry working for the former Struthers Beer and Wine. In the early ’80s, he took a different avenue by receiving his emergency medical service certificate and worked as a dispatcher while also serving as an EMT for the former Advance Gold Cross Ambulance Company. He returned to the beverage industry, working at the Wick Pollock Inn, and later Ohio Wine Distribution. Greg retired as a merchandise representative for Heidelberg Industries after years of service.

Greg was a person who loved the arts, music and being in the company of his family and friends. He had a way with people and always had the ability to turn a stranger into a friend. His generosity and compassion transcended to his adoration for dogs. Wherever he went, he collected his canine companions and showered them with affection and care. He embodied the true spirit of companionship and loyalty, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

May his spirit continue to inspire us to cherish each moment, embrace each melody, and above all, hold dear the bonds of friendship and love that he so effortlessly embodied.

He leaves his son, Edward Endsley of Struthers; his grandson, Rhett Endsley, also of Struthers; and many extended family and friends, including his dog, Gypsy Rose Lee.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his brother, David Endsley.

Greg’s family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Top Hat Productions, tophatpro
