Jane M. Angeloff 1929-2024

BOARDMAN — Jane M. “Jenny” Angeloff passed away peacefully, Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at the age of 94. She was a resident at Briarfield Place for the past seven months. Prior to becoming a resident of Briarfield, she made her home with her son Gregory Angeloff for many years in Boardman.

Jane was born July 11, 1929, in Youngstown, the daughter of Peter and Bambina DeVincent Campolito.

She was a 1947 graduate of South High School.

After graduation, she went on to comptometer school, where she earned her certification and shortly thereafter began working for Century Foods as a payroll clerk.

Jane was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Church, serving as Sunday school teacher and helping with the many church banquets throughout the years.

While raising her three children, Jane was very active in the Boardman Elementary School PTA and also served as classroom mother. She was also on the election board as a poll worker. After raising her children, Jane re-entered the workforce as a retail sales clerk at Strouss, Kaufman’s and Macy’s for 20 years.

Jane loved shopping for antiques and had a keen eye for a good garage sale. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and hosting many family gatherings. Jane loved all the many trips she took with her family, most notably with her granddaughters, to Hilton Head and Niagara Falls. She also enjoyed talking every day with her sister-in-law, Charlotte Campolito (her little sister as she called her) and good friend, Louise Rochette. But most of all, Jane treasured her two granddaughters, Jenelle Dunkel and Johnna (Victor) Franceschelli; and her great-granddaughter, Gianna Franceschelli, whom she loved dearly and asked about every day!

Her Husband, Bill Angeloff, whom she married May 1, 1955, passed away Feb. 4, 2008. They will resume arguing upon Jane’s arrival.

She will be sadly missed by her family. She leaves to forever cherish her memory, her three children, William Angeloff of North Lima, Gregory Angeloff of Boardman and Judy (John) Dunkel of Canfield; her beloved granddaughters, who meant everything to her, Jenelle Dunkel and Johnna Franceschelli (Victor); and her great-granddaughter, Gianna Franceschelli.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Babe Campolito; her husband of 53 years, William Angeloff; her brother, David Campolito; her sister, Lee McHugh; and brother-in-law, Paul McHugh.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in Mrs. Angeloff’s name to Holy Ghost Church.

Jane wanted everyone to know that she loved them all very much!

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday, March 1, 2024, Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, with services to follow at noon.
