Constance Ann Berardino 1956-2024

BOARDMAN — Constance Ann “Connie” Berardino, 67, peacefully passed away at her residence, Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024.

Connie will always be remembered for her bright smile, generous spirit, kindness and dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was born Aug. 10, 1956, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph F. and Saada Menhem Simon, and was a lifelong area resident.

Connie was a graduate of Ursuline High School. She always made her family a top priority, especially her grandchildren and looked forward to spending time with them. Connie owned and operated the Rib Tickler Restaurant for many years, along with helping her family at Cedar’s Lounge and Restaurant in downtown Youngstown.

Connie had a strong devotion and relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Praise Assembly of God in Niles, where she participated in Bible study and other church activities.

Connie had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, socializing with friends, staying active and going to the beach on vacation. Most of all, she loved having her sons and grandchildren gathered around her at home, where she was always ready with a big homemade meal and a game of cards.

She married the love of her life, Ronald “Ron” Rocco Berardino, on Nov. 20, 1976, and they shared more than 41 years of marriage until his passing, Dec. 21, 2017.

Connie leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories, her beloved sons, Nicholas (Carolyn) Berardino and Christopher Berardino, both of Canfield, a stepson, Ron (Sabrina) Berardino of Boardman; her seven grandchildren, whom she adored, Nicholas and Luke; Aviana, Gemma and Rocco; and Gianna and Zachary; and her siblings, Yvonne (Doug) Blegen, Robert Simon, Denise (Tom) Gorman, Joseph A. (Joanne) Simon and David T. (Jenny) Simon; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas J. “Tommy” Simon.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10 to 11:45 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, followed by a funeral service at noon, in the chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Market St., Boardman, with Pastor Mike Zenn as celebrant.

Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman.

In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made in Connie’s name to Praise Assembly of God in Niles.
