Rosemary Dubos 1935-2024
CAMPBELL — Rosemary Dubos, 88, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, with her family by her side, on the fourth anniversary of her son Paul’s passing.
She was born Dec. 7, 1935, in Youngstown, the daughter of Piotr and Theresa Mazur Amrogowicz.
Rosemary was a 1953 valedictorian graduate of Struthers High School. She graduated summa cum laude from YSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. She worked at Youngstown State University as an administrative assistant 2 in the general accounting department, retiring in March 2008.
Rosemary was an active member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, where she attended Mass with her family. She enjoyed couples club and ladies’ guild. Rosemary loved to travel, go to casinos and spend time with her family. She was especially known for her famous pierogies.
Rosemary will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her children, Janice (Lou Lanzo) and Diane (Dennis Roth); her grandchildren, Alyssa (Derek Streb), Dr. Stefen Roth, Jarod Lanzo, Peter and Ava Dubos; great-grandson, Bryson Streb; sister-in-law, Helen Dubos; several nieces and nephews; and longtime wonderful friend, Donna Wainio.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter “Paul” Dubos; her son, Dr. Paul Dubos; sisters, Stella (Michael) Loboy, Irene (Michael) Orenic and Mary (Peter) Yarnevich; her brother, Edward Zajac; brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty Dubos; sister-in-law, Mary Dubos; brother-in-law, Michael Dubos; nephews, Robert and James Dubos, and Robert Loboy; and niece, Kathleen Cramer.
The Dubos family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at the funeral home. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Kevin Marks, will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Rosemary’s name to St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 463 Robinson Road, P.O. Box 426, Campbell, OH 44405.
