Richard L. Taylor Sr. 1956-2024

HUBBARD — Richard L. Taylor Sr., 67, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Richard was born Feb. 13, 1956, in Youngstown, a son of William Sr. and Ella Nicholson Taylor.

He was a mechanic at Monroe Muffler, a truck driver for various companies, a mechanic for Taylor Muffler and Brake and later worked on the vehicles at Crump’s Towing in Youngstown.

Richard was a handyman, enjoyed motorcycles, camping, skiing and working on cars.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the VFW.

He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family: his children, Tabitha (Craig) Majovsky of Hubbard, Bridgett Long of Hubbard, Mandy Marsh of Girard, Richard (Shana) Taylor Jr. of Grove City, Ohio; his mother, Ella Taylor of Hubbard; 12 grandchildren, Joshua Marsh, Abbey Long, Jared Marsh, Jordan Marsh, Gillian Majovsky, Megan Long, Hanna Marsh, Abby McDowell, Mason Majovsky, Isabella Long, Alex Taylor and Calvin Taylor; and three great-grandchildren.

He also leaves his siblings, David (Carol) Taylor, William (Toni) Taylor Jr. and Brenda (Bruce) Dripps, all of Hubbard.

Beside his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, William John Taylor.

There will be services held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, with calling hours prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

Richard will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
