Nancy Bair Angelo 1956-2023

GARFIELD HEIGHTS — Nancy Irene Bair Angelo, 67, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
Nancy was born Oct. 23, 1956, the “6th Bair” of eight children born to the late Ted and Flo Bair. She was a 1975 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and worked for Cleveland MetroHealth Systems for the last 23 years as a CPC and CAC medical coder.
Nancy’s interests and passions were many. She was an avid gardener. Besides her vegetable garden, her home and yard were a showcase of her talents. The abundance and variety of plants and flowers were worthy of a magazine spread. She cultivated her plantings all year long, sharing and passing along her dedication to her niece Kristin, creating a never-ending and lifelong bond.
Nancy also won countless fair awards for her impeccable cross-stitching. She graced so many of her loved ones with her works of truly unparalleled skill. She also loved to bowl and to read (always with a book in progress). She especially loved doing her lottery scratch-offs, an oft-joked-about “hobby” she passed along and shared with her niece Elizabeth, again forging a special and enduring bond.
The two ultimate joys of Nancy’s life were Mark Huebner, her beloved partner of 26 years, with whom she made her life and was her foundation; and her son Michael Paul, within whom she had her beautiful legacy. Her son and his sons, Anthony and Luca, were a beacon in her life. She and Mark were either in Texas with them or on FaceTime with them to be constantly in the moment and in their lives. She was so very devoted to her son Michael Paul, his wife Rebecca, and her grandsons Anthony and Luca, that it is in them she still lives.
Also left to cherish Nancy’s life are her siblings, Chappie (Bitsy) Bair, Pidgie Smith, Pogo (the late Michael) Bartell, David (Debbie) Bair, Penny (Bart) Felger, Robin (Tony) Chiarello and Sherrilee (Scott) Hendrickson. Nancy also left numerous nephews and nieces. Her much adored Yorkie, Bair, also grieves.
Per Nancy’s wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral. Her family will hold a private celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, family members request you make a donation in Nancy’s memory to the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, 9500 Sweet Valley Dr., Valley View, OH 44125 (www.cuyahogadogs.com), or to a charity of your choosing.
Nancy was a peacemaker, an encourager in the strongest sense of those roles. She was a “Rock” for her family, and her friends and colleagues. She had a zest, an unbridled enthusiasm in all she did that was contagious. Her never-ending optimism, her laugh are vividly marked, recalled and heard by those who knew and loved her. She was truly cherished for what she brought to all our lives. For so very many, the world is irrevocably changed and much dimmer with her passing and many lives are forever altered.
She was the best of all of us.
