Kathleen Kuceyeski 1955-2023
ALLIANCE — Kathleen Kuceyeski, 67, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with NASH liver disease.
She was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Youngstown, to Donald and Anne Yurick.
Kathy graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School. She then went on to Youngstown State University, where she earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees. Kathy taught at Alliance City schools until her retirement.
Kathy was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She served Alliance as a volunteer with the Alliance Sports Boosters, Castle Crusaders and the Alliance Food Pantry. Kathy was also a volunteer for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a member of Renew Spiritual Group and Puckihuddle Antique Club. She loved volunteering and reading.
Kathy never missed any of her husband’s football games or other family sporting events. She was their biggest fan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ron Kuceyeski, whom she married Dec. 22, 1979; children, Karlin (Josh) Morgan and Corbin Kuceyeski; stepmother, Regina Yurick; sister, Janet (Kevin) Davis; brothers, Ronnie Yurick and Tommy Yurick (Eric); grandchildren, Benjamin, Maddox and Monroe Morgan; and many family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. David Weikart as celebrant. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s website, www.stjosephalliance.org.
Kathy will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery.
