Margie Jobe 1920-2023

LIBERTY — Margie Jobe, 102, of Liberty Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at The Legacy Assisted Living in Farmdale.

Margie was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Webster, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Jane Johns Little.

She had previously worked in the office of JC Penney’s for 16 years. Margie was a devout member of Church Hill United Methodist Church, and for many years helped with luncheons and dinners and was a member of the United Methodist Women.

Margie enjoyed many winters with her late husband, Ben in Myrtle Beach. In her spare time, she enjoyed making crafts.

Margie leaves to cherish her memory her son, Ben (Mary) Jobe, of Cooksburg, Pa.; grandchildren, Joyce (Kevin) and Katie (Dave); great-grandchildren, Deanna, Zachary, Connor and Hunter; and one great-great- grandchild, Emmett.

Along with her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Jobe, whom she married Dec. 22, 1940, and lived happily until his passing in June of 2003; sister, Dorothy Driscoll; and brother, Roy Tallion.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Church Hill United Methodist Church, where calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service.

Margie will be laid to rest, next to her husband, in Church Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Church Hill United Methodist Church, in Margie’s memory.
