John Burley 1929-2022
YOUNGSTOWN — John “Jack” Burley, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at his home at Park Vista Assisted Living. He is reunited with his loving wife of 67 years, Jeanne Burley, who predeceased him.
Jack was born April 13, 1929, in Youngstown, the son of John Burley and Margaret McShane.
Jack graduated from Ursuline High School, served in the United States Air Force and retired from General Fireproofing. He was an avid golfer and a fan of the Cleveland teams, Notre Dame and YSU. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Matthias Church. Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and they all loved their “Grandpa Jack” and will miss him.
He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family: children, Kathy (Nick) Robatel, Jack (Barb) Burley, Michael (Kumiko) Burley and Colleen (Albert) Marchionda; grandchildren, Luke (Liza) Robatel, Jake Robatel, Dan (Amanda) Burley, Shannon (Tony) Gennaro, Mark Burley, Steven (Sara) Marchionda, Joseph Marchionda and Sara Marchionda; and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Kathy Patton and Josephine Patrick.
Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes, there will be no services held. Jack was interred in Ohio Western Reserve National Military Cemetery, with military honors, alongside his wife.
