Eugene K. ‘Kenny’ Wilson Jr. 1965-2022

CAMPBELL — Eugene Kent “Kenny” Wilson Jr., 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, March 14, 2022.

He was born in Youngstown, to Eugene K. Wilson Sr. and Grace Jolliff Pugh, on Aug. 19, 1965. He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and Mahoning County Joint Vocational School, Class of 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Kistner-Wilson, whom he married June 18, 2006; and seven children, Amanda (John Chamberlain) Wilson, Holly Wilson, Eugene “Gene” Wilson III, Ricchel (Dylan) Holloway, Richard Kistner-Wilson, Ronald Kistner-Wilson and Gaberial Chalfant; his siblings, David Wilson, Nancy Ray, Alice Walker, Judy Wilson, Patricia Wilson, Jeanie Wilson, Connie (Paul) Coombs, Audra (Tim) Smith, Charles (Liz) Pugh and Robert (Danica) Pugh; and granddaughter, Zoey Dulley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene K. Wilson, stepfather, Ronald Pugh; brother, John Wilson; son, Robert Kistner-Wilson; and father-in-law, Richard Kistner.

He was a laborer by trade and worked for ATD, until it closed in 1998, and many other factories in the Youngstown area until forced into early retirement after a house fire in 2007. Kenny loved his family and friends and was always willing to open his home to any and all. Kenny’s favorite pastimes were playing “Dungeons and Dragons” and chess, a love of which he passed along to many of his children.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Struthers AMVETS Post 44, 305 Elm St., Struthers, OH 44471. This celebration will be held just as Kenny lived his life, welcoming any and all friends and family.
