RICHMOND HEIGHTS — Anne Elizabeth “Annie” Baskin, 57, departed this life Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021.

Ronald “Ronnie” Baskin, 70, departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022.

Anne Elizabeth Hill was born July 9, 1964, at Northside Hospital.

Ronald “Ronnie” Baskin was born May 9, 1951, at Southside Hospital.

Annie was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in 1982 and a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in mathematics, chemistry and biology.

She was employed by Case Western Reserve Hospital in Cleveland, as a research scientist. She had her own breed of laboratory rats; and she was also a professor.

She leaves her brothers, John (Dianne) Hill and Edward Hill, both of Youngstown; a brother-in-law, Robert Price; nephews, Curtis and Edward Jr.; nieces, Latrial, Angela, Shaina and Lee Shae; and other relations and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Viola Hill; her sister, Linda Price; and a nephew, Damion Hill.

Anne Elizabeth and Ronald Baskin were joined together in Holy Matrimony on April 28, 2007. Their residence was in Richmond Heights.

Ronnie was a graduate of North High School in 1969. He was a graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. He was employed at Quanex Building Products as a program analyst.

He was the father of a daughter, Sheyenen Cortes, who resides in Florida; and a granddaughter, Shenell Cortes.

He leaves his mother, Castene Baskin, 94, of Youngstown; two brothers, Clifton Baskin Jr. of Youngstown and Jeffrey Baskin of Ambridge, Pa.; two sisters, Lavonne Johnson of Youngstown and Lynda (King) Dandridge of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Karen Baskin of Youngstown; nephews, Cornelius, Stephen, Mark and Micah; nieces, Natasha and Leslie; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Baskin; his brother, Rayford Baskin of Youngstown; his sister, Beverly James of Nashville; and a grandson, Shawn Cortes.

A private memorial service for Anne Elizabeth Baskin and Ronald Baskin will be scheduled for a later date, with service arrangements by Calhoun Funeral Home, 1701 Lakeshore Blvd., Cleveland.
