Dolores Hall Edwards 1927-2022

NAPLES, Fla. — Dolores Hall Edwards, 94, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Avow Hospice surrounded by family and friends.

Dolores was born April 26, 1927, in Sharon, Pa. Her parents were Harold Dickson and Lydia Kremis Dickson. Dolores was the last surviving child of the 10 children of Harold and Lydia.

Dolores was married to Dale Hall, deceased, and Jack Edwards, deceased. Dolores and Dale had two daughters, Darla Hall Barett, deceased, and Deena Hall. In addition to Deena, Dolores is survived by grandchildren, Rachel Barett and Keith Barett; and five great-grandchildren.

Dolores graduated from the College of Wooster with a degree in education and received a master’s degree in education from the College of Westminster. Dolores worked as an English teacher and later as a guidance counselor in the Canfield school system for over 30 years.

Dolores’ years of community involvement in Canfield were recognized in 2018, when she served as grand marshal in the Canfield 4th of July parade.

In 1990, Dolores moved to Fort Myers, Fla., and became active in the community with membership at the Cypress Lakes Country Club and the Cypress Lake Methodist Church.

Final arrangements are being handled by the National Cremation Society. Celebrations of life for Dolores will be held in both Fort Myers and Canfield later this year.
