Joyce L. Schleicher 1943-2021

She was born May 25, 1943, in Youngstown, the daughter of Randall and Ruby Young. Joyce graduated in 1962 from Jackson-Milton High School.

Joyce was employed as a cook at Jackson-Milton High School from 1977 to 2003, at which time she retired.

Her favorite hobby was to bake, especially around the holidays.

Joyce was a loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She helped her twin sister, Janet, raise her five children.

She is survived by her two sisters, Eleanor Oblinger and Dorothy Clark of Berlin Center; and her nieces and nephews whom she helped raise, Tonia Myers of Warren, Kevin Moore of North Jackson, Kimberly Sutton of Niles, Randy Fitzpatrick of Warren and Chester Fitzpatrick of North Jackson. She also leaves her niece, Debbie Lesho of Berlin Center; her nephews, Thomas O’Donald of Berlin Center and Robert Clark, Jr. of North Jackson; 21 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 35 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Randall and Ruby Young; her husband, Earl; and her twin sister, Janet Stalbosky.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, from 1 to 1:30 p.m., in North Jackson Cemetery.
