Joseph J. Cheslik 1930-2021

BOARDMAN — Joseph J. Cheslik, 90, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 1, 2021, at The Inn at Walker Mill.

He was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Harrisburg, Pa., a son of the late Joseph and Valencia Sabolsky Cheslik.

Joe graduated from The Rayen School and was owner and operator of Midas in Niles. Joe loved to bowl and golf throughout his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He always was traveling to see the next sporting event his grandchildern were in. Joe was a hard worker, always rolling up his sleeves to help with something and loved being in his backyard working.

Always in our hearts.

His wife, Patricia L. Dempsis Cheslik, whom he married April 17, 1952, passed away May 17, 2021.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Linda (Rich) Jones of Canfield; four sons, Joe (Brant Trowbridge) Cheslik of Columbus, Tom (Julie) Cheslik of Canfield, Ken (Jane) Cheslik of Northville, Mich., and Jeff (Tatyana) Cheslik of New York; 12 grandchildren, Joe (Jen) Cheslik, Brian Cheslik, Tom (Christie) Cheslik, Tim (Kayla) Cheslik, Ryan Cheslik, Jeff Cheslik, Greg (Haley) Cheslik, Jake (Fiancee Juliana) Cheslik, Jamie Cheslik and Jessica, Erin and Ashley Jones; and four great-grandchildren, Sydney Lewellen and Nora, Mia and Luke Cheslik.

He also was preceded in death by his siblings, Adam Cheslik, Johnny Cheslik, Adele Kovach, Sabina Bonnacci and his twin, Josephine “Tootsie” Marx.

Private funeral services have taken place.

In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to the Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Road Building E, Suite 201, Canfield, OH 44406.
