Paul J. Bellanger 1945-2021

CORNERSBURG — Paul J. Bellanger, 75, passed away peacefully at his residence, Friday, June 11, 2021.

He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents, O. Bellanger and Julia Ramsey. Life’s journey landed him in Youngstown, where he met and married Stella Foster in 1964.

He leaves behind his four children to cherish his memory, daughter, Julia (Daniel) Smith, and sons, Paul (Alina) Bellanger, John (Rhonda) Bellanger and Rocco (Kristi) Bellanger; seven grandchildren, Marilynn Hoff, Joey Belanger, Nicky Bellanger, Heather Bellanger, Troy Bellanger, Tyler Bellanger and Randy Triantasillou; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He retired as an iron worker from Valley Mold and Vulcan in Hubbard and went on to perform maintenance at Omni Manor Nursing Home for eight years, followed by three years of service at The Jewish Community Center in Youngstown.

He loved football and enjoyed many years as a Dallas Cowboys fan, and then became a New England Patriots follower for many years.

Paul attended Youngstown Baptist Church and found Jesus there, but was often pulled away by many of his personal struggles. In the last week of sickness, he made his peace with God and gave Him all of his regrets, asking his children’s forgiveness. Paul’s one wish was that God grant him eternity so that he may come back and say, “Hey man, I made it to Heaven.”

The family would like to thank the Hospice of The Mahoning Valley for all of their help and compassion. Their skilled care made his departure a peaceful transition. In addition, a special “thank you” to Dr. Icli Tolga and Brad Vaughn from Wedgewood Pharmacy, for all the years of being patient and caring for Paul.

Paul’s remains have been entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren. His son-in-law, Pastor Daniel Smith, will officiate a celebration of life ceremony at noon Saturday, June 19, 2021, at McKinley Community Church in Warren. Friends and family are welcome.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated to serving your loved ones.
