Shana M. Fleming 1979-2021

Shana was born in Youngstown, on May 21, 1979, to Charmaine Wheat and Richard Fleming. Shana’s pride and joy was her only son, Dylan. Shana always put her son first and together they were “us against the world.” Shana enjoyed dancing, nature, and loved to take walks with her son in Mill Creek Park.

Shana gave her time and talents selflessly. She would drop everything to help someone else or “give anyone the shirt off of her back.” In the last years of her life, she focused on making progress and accomplishing personal goals. She earned an associate degree in medical assisting and volunteered with Trumbull County during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Madaline Fonce, with whom she was very close; and her father, Richard Fleming.

Shana is survived by her mother, Charmaine, and stepfather, Zachary Wheat of Leavittsburg; sister, Justine Bee of Florida; brother, Gary Fleming; Aunt Laura and Uncle Anthony Fonce of Indiana; aunts, LeeAnne Roberts and Joyce O’Hara of Girard; cousins, Kenny and Jeremy Williams of Girard; and nephews, Jordan Bee and Dominic McGovney of Florida.
