Jasmine J. Gibson 1994-2021

Born Dec. 28, 1994, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Dwayne Thomas and Chalise Gibson Canty.

A resident of Greenville, Jasmine attended Chaney High School in Youngstown. Employed by Windhaven Housing Inc. of Youngstown as a nurse’s aide, she was a member of Victory Christian Church in Liberty Towship.

Jasmine enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling and horseback riding.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Chalise and John Canty of Niles; father, Dwayne Thomas; sister, Dwayla Thomas of Pennsylvania; brothers, Jason Gibson of Youngstown and Justin Gibson of Florida; her fiance, Dameion Armour, of Greenville; grandparents, Virginia Dowdy Gibson of Youngstown and John and Ruby Canty of Warren; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two grandparents.

A family service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, with a public viewing to begin at 10 a.m., at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., Youngstown, Ohio.

With current health mandates, masks are required and social-distancing practices will be observed.
