William B. Rosenblum 1928-2020

DELRAY BEACH — William B. Rosenblum, 92, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, May 28, 2020, in Delray Beach, Fla.

William was born Jan. 17, 1928, in Youngstown, the youngest son of Oscar B. Rosenblum and Henrietta Lottie Bender-Rosenblum.

He graduated from The Rayen School in 1945 and from Oberlin College in 1949.

During the Korean War, William entered the Aviation Cadets and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the regular Air Force and a navigator on a B-36. In 1954, he was stationed in Fort Worth, Texas, and then in Casablanca and French Morocco.

William, along with his brother, Henry “Hank” Rosenblum, started ROBCO Co. in 1968 and manufactured steel and aluminum products including steel storage sheds. They sold the company in 1981. William also owned Williams Cool Ray Co., until he sold it in 2006.

He was a member of Squaw Creek Country Club, Bocaire Country Club and Rodef Sholom Temple.

William was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Gloria Gossoff-Rosenblum; his son, Owen Brian Rosenblum; and his brothers, Jerry and Henry Rosenblum.

William was adored by and leaves behind his son, Raymond Rosenblum; and his daughter and son-in-law, Loren and Jay Soshnick; and his four grandkids, Adam and Jordan Soshnick and Steven and Jessica Rosenblum.

Services are private.
