Debra Torres, 1955-2019
WARREN — Debra “Debi” Torres (nee Kufner), 64, of Warren, formerly of Brunswick, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman.
Born on May 23, 1955, in Cleveland, to the late William and Connie Kufner, Debi was deeply devoted to the health and well-being of children. She was lways involved in organizing charitable donations and funding the support of those in need of assistance and encouragement of both heart and spirit.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jose A. Torres, MD; dear children, Rodney and Ryan Cunningham; cherished grandchildren, Caressa Marie, Rain and Sadie Jade Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Alister and Aven; and loving brothers, Bill (Stephanie) Dean and Dale Kufner.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert.
The family will receive friends for visitation for Debra from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, at the Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick (1/2 mile south of Route 303).
A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Debra at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Family will receive friends for visitation one-hour prior from 9 to 10 a.m. (please meet at church). The Rev. Bob Stec will officiate.
Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
A Toys for Tots box will be present at the funeral home during visitation for donations towards Debi’s Christmas Program.
