LIBERTY — A search for two men who were attempting to steal from a local business Monday night ended because of environmental conditions. According to a police report, officers were called to The Nutrition Group on Belmont Avenue for a theft, and dispatchers said two individuals were trying to cut off catalytic converters and fled the scene. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate Wednesday for the first time since 2023 in an effort to quell stubbornly high inflation, and the central bank signaled another rate hike could occur later this year. YOUNGSTOWN — With the Youngstown Police Department reinstating Brian Flynn, fired as a lieutenant in December 2022 after being accused of dereliction of duty but winning numerous legal challenges, city council refused to increase the number of lieutenants on a temporary basis.
