Staff report LIBERTY — A woman reported seeing two teenagers in front of a local business the night a local sporting equipment store was broken into, resulting in thousands of dollars in sporting goods merchandise being stolen. According to a police report, officers were called to Wharmby Sporting Goods on Belmont Avenue Monday morning for a breaking and entering report. YOUNGSTOWN — More than $130,000 in state and federal traffic safety grants will support Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office deputies on additional enforcement details over the next year. Woman charged with felonious assault, held in contempt for Warren courtroom fight

WARREN — Ryshionna Powell, 18, of Warren, is in the Trumbull County jail, charged with felonious assault, after an incident Monday afternoon in Warren Municipal Court in which she got into a fight with a Lowellville woman in the courtroom and threw a phone at the Lowellville woman’s head, causing a laceration. On Tuesday, Powell was arraigned in the same courtroom where the fight took place by Visiting Judge Terry Ivanchak. Powell pleaded not guilty and her bond was set at $15,000.
