Campbell police seek neglected dog’s owner
CAMPBELL — Police are looking for the owner of an abused and neglected dog found last week. The Yorkshire Terrier, now named Riley, was found walking down the middle of Porter Avenue near 13th Street on June 3, and was in such deplorable condition that it needed a blood transfusion and its vet bills have since exceeded $8,500. Patrolman Jim Conroy, the Campbell Police Department’s unofficial animal welfare officer, said the dog was first taken to MedVet Girard on June 4, and transferred later to MedVet Akron.
