WHAT: Board of education special meeting Thursday

PRESENT: Gary Bednarik, Beth Donofrio, Judy Gozur, Tony Kelly and Tina Tsagaris

The board:

• Approved financial reports, payment of bills, and then and now certificates as presented in the Treasurer’s Report.

• Approved the amended Certificate of Estimated Resources for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

• Approved the amended appropriations measure certificate for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

• Approved a purchase from Protech Electrical Contracting of cabling/installation hardware and a VOIP phone.

• Approved system integration, training/CAD drawings and three years of licenses for paging solutions for IMPACT spaces within the CLWCC and Elementary and Middle School Buildings in the amount of $25,850.

• Approved the purchase of 70 workbenches and 170 counter-height stools for the classroom spaces at the CHCDC from Amazon in the amount of $18,150.30

• Approved the purchase of custodial cleaning equipment, accessories and supplies from Fagan Sanitary Supply in the amount of $42,620.20 for startup needs at the CHCDC.

• Approved the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between Future Plans and Campbell City Schools to support the delivery of career assessment, coaching and related career-connected learning services for students.

• Approved an updated license agreement between Neola, Inc. and the Campbell Board of Education for the development of bylaws, policies and administrative guidelines.

• Approved the annual membership with Ohio Schools Council for FY26 at a fee of $372.08.

• Approved renewal of a subscription for District Gizmo Site Licenses for math and science teachers to include Gizmo professional development from Explore Learning in the amount of $19,170.

• Approved an agreement between Campbell City Schools and Mahoning Valley Community School Governing Board for services provided at a cost of $110 per student per day.

• Approved a field placement agreement between Grand Canyon University and Campbell City Schools to establish terms and conditions under which GCU candidates may participate in College of Education Practicum/Field Experience, Student Teaching, Educational Administration Internships, or College of Humanities and Social Sciences School Counseling Practicum/Internships at the schools located in the district.

• Approved an agreement with PERA Services, Inc. to complete bilingual evaluations for special education services on an as needed basis.

• Approved an agreement between the Northeast Ohio IMPACT Academy and Project Lead the Way, Inc. for Biomedical Science Participation and Gateway Participation for $3,150.

• Approved an amendment of resolution to reflect a change in the effective date of the appointment of Miguel Cubero to the classified position of cook’s helper as Aug. 24, at a rate of $13.95 per hour.

• Approved up to 25 hours of compensation at a rate of $19 per hour for Stacy Blasko and Rachael Dinard to plan and prepare for professional development for the 2026-27 school year.

• Approved an amendment of resolution to transition Varsity Football Assistant Coaches Luke Blasko and Alexander Valentin from half contracts to full contracts for the 2026-27 school year at the rate of $6,281.10 per contract.

• Approved the following donations: $7,950 from Stavich Educational Trust to various students; Cards via Farmers Trust Co.; $1,500 from C. Tucker Cope & Associates to Campbell City Schools (for three scholarships at $500 each); $1,500 from Jaminet Engineering LLC to Campbell City Schools (for three scholarships at $500 each); $1,500 from Olsavsky Jaminet Architects to Campbell City Schools (for three scholarships at $500 each), $1,000 from Humtown Products to Campbell City School District for a scholarship; $707 from Ralph T. Meacham, county auditor, to the Class of 2026; $280 (awards luncheon) from Campbell Memorial Alumni Association to the Class of 2026; $228.75 from CEMS PTO to the Elementary School Principal Fund; $101 from Meacham, to the Class of 2026; and $5 from an anonymous donor to the Class of 2026
