The board:
• Renewed Timothy Kelty’s contract as the superintendent through July 31, 2031.
• Hired Dave Phillips as the Fitch High School head principal for the 2026-27 school year.
• Hired Adam Loudin as the Austintown Intermediate School head principal for the 2026-27 school year.
• Hired Brian Umstead as the high school assistant principal for the 2026-27 school year contingent upon completion of all administrative licensure requirements.
• Approved a three-year contract for Joe McMahon as AIS assistant principal.
• Approved a one-year contract for Thomas Lenton as AIS assistant principal.
• Approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the Austintown Local School District and the Austintown Education Association, OEA/NEA.
• Approved May 2026 monthly financial/expenditure activity report.
• Approved the May 2026 month-end forecast report.
• Approved purchase orders over $15,000 and transfers for the month as submitted.
• Approved a three-agreement with Julian & Grube for the preparation of its schedule of expenditures and federal awards for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, through June 30, 2028 at a fixed fee of $900 per year.
• Approved an agreement with Ford Office Technologies for copier services beginning Aug. 1 for a period of 63 months at a monthly rate of $5,997.77.
• Approved an agreement with Frontline Solutions for professional learning, evaluations management, and time and attendance services at a first-year cost of $31,291, funded through Title II resources.
• Approved a contractual agreement with Mahoning Valley Community School to utilize services.
• Approved the handbooks for the 2026-27 school year for Austintown Elementary School, Austintown Intermediate School, Austintown Middle School, Austintown Fitch High School and the district’s Food Service Department.
• Updated the district’s gifted plan as presented.
• Approved the following donations: $300 to AMS from Youngstown Area Community Concert Band; $50 to Fitch Concert Choir from Austintown Retired Teachers Club; $300 to Fitch Speech and Debate from Joseph Curry; $500 to Fitch Speech and Debate from Tracy Stratford; and $1,500 to Fitch Speech and Debate from Ian Michaels and Sarah Minick.
• Approved the following resignations: Brad Clyde, AMS head boys track coach; Michael Hilliard, Fitch boys soccer head coach; Mary Breckner, AMS sweeper cleaner; Heidi Chepke, AES paraprofessional; Patricia Cohol, AIS special education paraprofessional; Thomas DeLuca, Fitch auditorium manager; Salvatore Maiorana, Fitch head principal; Brielle Glista, AIS intervention specialist; Jolene Mang, Fitch science teacher; Jolene Stipanovich, AIS paraprofessional.
