McDONALD — Village council is seeking applicants to fill an opening on village council as Councilman Don Smith will be moving from the village after his final meeting July 15.

Any resident interested in filling the remainder of Smith’s term can submit a letter of interest to the municipal building by Friday. Council will review the applicants at the July 15 meeting.

Smith served as chairman of the finance and levy committees.
